"It felt like people were taking away our rights."
Christopher Warner

Introductory Profile: About Christopher Warner

Christopher Warner, my uncle, is a teacher and school administrator in San Francisco, California. He is married to Cort Lannin, and has a dog named Truman. He was born in 1981 in Bloomfield, West Virginia and moved to Kentucky in his early childhood. In his free time he likes to run, read, walk his dog, and write. He is average height, with black hair, fair skin, and glasses, and has a relaxed and happy personality.

During the interview, which was conducted over phone, Christopher told me the story of his battle as a member of the LGBT community, such as fighting Proposition Eight in California, and how he persevered through it. While the stories he told me from his past were dismal, he expressed hope for the future, and remarked during the interview that during his life LGBT rights have vastly improved. Overall, the interview had an optimistic theme. I learned more about LGBT rights than I could ever hoped to through this interview, and hope you will too.
