"I had heard about it happening in the workplaces, but I never imagined it would happen to me"
Park Sang-Eun

Introductory Profile: Park Sang-Eun: In Her Own Words

Park Sang-Eun is currently living in Daegu, South Korea. She is a mother of two, and she is also my aunt. My aunt was born in 1971, and she is a nurse in Korea. Growing up, she had heard about the bullying and harassment that occurred in South Korean workplaces, but she never thought it would happen to her. She decided she wanted to become a nurse in middle school, and is currently working at Gumyeong hospital as a nurse. My aunt is a very friendly person, and she is a very dedicated Christian, just like the rest of our family.

I interviewed my aunt on the bullying that she had endured while working at the hospital. My aunt was very worried about the interview because she could not speak english very well, so we ended up recording in korean. My aunt was also worried about how the interview would end up, because she had a very emotional experience, and she told me that having to share that to the world was very stressful, but she said she wanted to continue the interview to spread the word and raise awareness. I hope this interview will fulfill her hopes and also give tips to the people that might be going through the same situation.
