Introductory Profile: Introductory Paragraph

Steve Rosen is being interviewed about one of his legal cases. The case is called the 101 California Street Shooting. Many people were dead or injured. My dad (Steve Rosen) was involved in gun rights and helped create some important gun rights. Right now he lives in Texas with his amazing daughter, Kira Rosen (moi). He also has a wife and a son.Steve Rosen is associate vice president for legal affairs, and focuses on intellectual property, business transactions, conflicts of interest, and procurement matters. Rosen came to The University of Texas at Austin in 2014, having served as senior university counsel at Stanford University since 2011. Prior to that time, Rosen served as university counsel at both The University of Texas System and the University of California. Before focusing on higher education matters, Rosen was in private practice specializing in intellectual property transactions at Gunderson Dettmer and in litigation matters at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen in the San Francisco Bay Area and Austin, Texas.
Rosen earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was also senior note and comment editor at the California Law Review. Following law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gary L. Taylor of the United States District Court (Central District of California).
