Judith Moyer

As Interviewed by Charlotte Moyer, March 31, 2018
"We didnít think stuff about flowers, and music and church decorations were really essential to understanding the meaning of marriage in the Presbyterian Church so thatís how come we started over and we talked about marriage as a gift from God."

Introductory Profile: About Judith Moyer

I interviewed my grandmother Judith Moyer. She is 78 years old and has black hair and blue eyes.I have always known Judith to be very open-minded, especially when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. She is very accepting of people, regardless of their sexual orientation. Judith is an articulate and influential speaker and she is very persuasive when she wants to make her opinion heard.

The topic covered in this interview was LGBTQ+ rights, specifically to the Presbyterian Church. Judith helped draft the new marriage policy for the Presbyterian Church that now allows same-gender couples to wed. The overall tone of the interview I had with Judith was casual, relaxed, and informal, yet efficient. The interview took place on the phone because Judith lives in New York. Judith gave a lot of thought-provoking points and it was very interesting to hear what she had to say on this matter. Judith was very happy to be doing this interview and was excited to express her opinions and share her perspective on LGBTQ+ rights in the Presbyterian Church.
