Austin Interfaith Volunteer

As Interviewed by Will Bolduc, March 14, 2018
"For me, the exciting thing about Capital IDEA is there was a study that showed that in families who have this Associate’s Degree, their children all went to college, which I think breaks the back of poverty."

Introductory Profile: About Austin Interfaith Volunteer

I interviewed my grandmother. She spends much of her retirement working with social justice organizations, like Austin Interfaith, to help make Austin a better place.

We had lunch, then we went to her house to do the interview. The interview was quite friendly, and some of the best parts were when she told a story about someone she knew who went through Capital IDEA’s job training program, or her explaining some things that can go wrong when starting a social justice organization.
